Dr. Lora B. Ford
Dr. Lora Ford resides in Hurricane, WV with her husband Eric, and their two sons, Jacob and Joshua. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and has lived in Utah, Maine, and South Carolina before moving to West Virginia at the age of 11.
Dr. Ford earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 1999, followed by her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2003. She continued her education at WVU, completing her specialty training and earning a Master of Science in Endodontics in 2005.
Dr. Ford has been practicing in Charleston since 2011. She is committed to helping patients retain their natural teeth and is passionate about creating a comfortable, low-anxiety experience for those undergoing endodontic treatment.
Dr. Ford is a member of the Kanawha Valley Dental Society, West Virginia Dental Association, American Dental Association and American Association of Endodontists.
While she considers her sons, Jacob and Joshua, to be her greatest accomplishments, she admits she doesn't fully enjoy the "empty nest". They are both exemplary students studying Biology at West Virginia University in Morgantown.
In her spare time, she travels to Morgantown, where she volunteers as part-time faculty in the Endodontic Department at the WVU School of Dentistry. She enjoys mentoring students and residents as they begin their journey in the dental profession.
